Seeing as I have a friend I had better say something. Nothing exciting yet but watch this space, I may do something drastic one of these days!
I'm really sad about Nick Clarke, he was one person on Radio 4 I never switched off, and I can say that less and less these days as the whole of telly and radio turns tabloid on us.

Speaking of telly, I am ashamed to say I've been watching the jungle, and all I can say is the public have been tapping numbers without listening to the instructions and now Toby's out. I think they were thinking they were voting for who they wanted out(surely Scott?)and inadvertently kept him in. Listen up folks, you vote for the person you want to keep in the jungle. I know, I know, I'm a moron to watch but I can't help myself.
It's 3.50 and I'm not dressed but I was due a day of slobbing so I have no shame. I've also just eaten a meringue and a mince pie and now I feel sick and I can't see properly. Does anyone else get blurred vision when they overdo the sugar? I knew it would happen but went for it anyway, it's been one of those weeks.
I got a book in the post today, courtesy of bookcrossing (bookcrossing.com if anyone's interested) and it's one I've been looking forward to as Philip Pullman likes it and I like him. 'Beyond Black' by Hilary Mantel. Don't know anything about it but I'm getting a bit bored with 'American Gods' by Neil Gaiman, so might start this instead.
Well, blimey, that was dull. I may well have to start to make things up in future
