Well, heck.

That didn't take long. I left this 'ere blogland a year ago because my husband was starting to work from home and it kind of made surfing a bit difficult and now I've been back a few days and already I'm addicted. Why am I so weak? I'm all over everyone's blogs like a rash and friend-collecting like there's no tomorrow

By the way, if he doesn't sod off somewhere soon, I'm going to do something ugly. No, really :)) Actually, it's alright, there's a week long business trip starting tomorrow so yaaaaaayyyyyyy! I'm not really mean, I'm just not the sort of person that likes constant company. And as I home educate our daughter there isn't much chance for solitude for me. Never mind, she'll be old enough to do her own thing in a few years and I can do my own thing too. Here's hoping I'm not too old to enjoy it!

what an interesting blog, like you i'm addicted to blogging. In fact I took yesterday off so I could catch up on my work. -:))

I enjoy chatting and having a laugh on here to lots of different people I would never meet due to geographical reasons.

I like the idea of you educationing your daughter at hope, was that difficult to set up.?

Catch up later

You're very kind. Yes, I think I might have to be firm and only come on here once or twice a day instead of flitting about. I live reasonably close to London but don't think I have the energy for the meets ;)

It's not hard to home educate as you can do it in so many different ways, but it's just the thing about not getting much time to yourself. The only government requirement is to make sure the child is 'learning according to age and ability' but we stick to the curriculum just in case she wants to go to school at any time.

I wish you and your daughter well with learning at home (not HOPE as in my last comment -:)) -:)) ) You both have to be very focused and organised.

The girls school (They are 16) was excellent, one of the best in the Scotland but they have a new head and it's gone to the dogs. She has let the crazies take over. Shame. The girls are trying to find college places at the mo.

How old is your daughter?

Thanks. Sometimes we're organised and focussed and sometimes we do nothing, but that's ok. In the end we get it done :)

It'd be great if we had some good schools near us but they are mostly pants. At least your daughters got most of their education done before it turned bad :)

She's 10.

Is he still at home then? Apart from the business trips, I mean.

Sod it. Be addicted until the novelty wears off and then settle down to a slow and steady stream of commenting as I have.

*ahem*

He is *grins through gritted teeth*.

Yeah, you're right. I feel a bit better about it today. I can take it or leave it now (yeah, right, haha!)

Blogging IS an addiction for which there is no cure - thank goodness
